Patrick Rene Haasler

Patrick graduated with a binational BA in European trade and commerce at the universities of Orléans in France and Siegen in Germany. In May 2022, Patrick began working for the European Academy in Brussels as speaker in the area of European foreign affairs with a focus on energy and security policies.  Being a member of the International Team for Security Studies, Patrick focused his research around Russian foreign policy, military strategies and power competition between East and West in the post-soviet era. Currently completing an internship for the Austrian Embassy in Luxemburg, Patrick has travelled to Moldova and Transnistria to conduct research on the regional security architecture and diplomatic efforts for a peaceful settling of that frozen conflict.
