Victoria is currently a DPhil (PhD) History student at the University of Oxford in St. Antony’s College. She holds a Master of Arts in European and Mediterranean Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in History, Journalism, and Creative Writing from New York University. Additionally, she spent more than a decade as a trained theatre performer.

Victoria’s DPhil project focuses on the birth of the Neopagan Slavic Native Faith in Poland and Soviet Russia, a severely under-studied topic. Her general research interests lie in the Central/Eastern European region in belief systems and how they affect cultural and political ideologies such as nationalism, identity, antisemitism, gender and sexuality, and more.

With her research, literary, and arts experience, as well as her Polish-American background, Victoria hopes to bring a unique take on global news to the team.
